For teachers who don't realise it, about half a million British children are being educated in the private sector, where there are over 2,500 schools. Although this accounts for ca 7% of all children, over 15% of those aged 16 or over are being educated privately.

These schools often take boarders, and to facilitate that it is necessary to have teachers who are prepared to live in. For OQTs who would like to work in the UK without setting up home here, such private and independent schools could offer an ideal situation. And, of course, many boarding schools would also accommodate a teacher's family. Usually a school would waive fees for a teacher's own children.

MASTER CLASS EDUCATION only deploys teachers within the private sector if they have been vetted in the same way as its secondary supply teachers and FE lecturers.
