Because all teacher and lecturer supply agencies are expected to observe statutory legal requirements, it's clear that most operate in similar ways. So it's difficult to distinguish one from another. Yet at Master Class Education we are genuinely distinct for several reasons:

WE SPECIALISE IN NOT ONLY SECONDARY EDUCATION BUT FURTHER, HIGHER AND PRIVATE EDUCATION TOO:

The majority of supply agencies and educational recruitment agencies service the primary and secondary sectors. We do both. But Master Class Education is one of the few secondary specialists which deals with FE, HE and private schools too.

AS THE NAME IMPLIES, WE AIM TO BE THE BEST:

Most supply agencies have, for the last decade or so, seen the supply industry as tremendously lucrative. Making profit has been their primary concern. But our philosophy from Day One has been to focus on TQM (Total Quality Management). And, with that in mind, we chose our name. 'Master Class Education' seemed a little presumptuous and maybe a rod for our own backs, we admit. But we thought that it would be the equivalent of us pinning our colours to the mast. We intend to be amongst the best in the industry. So the realisation that a name like ours would always get our legs pulled if we performed badly in respect of professionalism and ethics has been a great motivator. This approach has already paid dividends. 

SELF-REGULATION:

Our teachers and lecturers are subject to the same vetting procedures as are required under the Quality Mark regulations. Like any agency we are still liable to inspection by BERR (the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform), who run the Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate. But we like to think we have more integrity than many of our rivals and that we can be trusted to self-regulate.

SEEING TEACHERS and LECTURERS as PEOPLE:

We welcome all dedicated educators including Overseas Qualified Teachers (OQTs) who are sometimes referred to as Overseas Trained Teachers (OTTs), Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and returning teachers. We help them to settle in London if they’re new to the area, we find them good schools and colleges, longer-placements or permanent posts where possible so they’ll stay in the profession, we provide qualified and experienced mentors, we actively encourage continuous professional development (CPD), and we help to find superb and affordable accommodation for those who are new to the area.
